Viennese Celebration Concert
with the Arthur Murray Dancers
The Musicians of the World Symphony Orchestra (MWSO) is happy to announce their fall concert, entitled, ‘Viennese Celebration’ which will take place on October 14th, 2007, at 8pm at the Salle Pierre Mercure at the centre Pierre Péladeau, UQAM. This will be the eleventh concert the orchestra has performed in eighteen months.
This will be an evening of romantic music, song and dance featuring, Stephanie Piercey, soprano, Jean-Louis Sanscartier, tenor, plus the star dancers of the Arthur Murray Dance schools of Montreal in full ball room costume.
The Program includes; Johann Strauss’ delightful waltzes and polkas, and excerpts from Die Fleidermaus, excerpts Franz Lehar’s operetta The merry Widow, several Viennese highlights including excerpts from The Countess Maritza by Imre Kalman, and more favorites.
